Stichworte: Hybrid Assistant, Torque, Scangauge etc.

good luck! Please keep us updated if and how it works.
What do you expect as "higher voltage" and "deep discharge"?
How does the BMS work with a different battery chemistry?
Maybe you can share some ideas with us.
Thanks,
Thorsten
Thank you Thorsten!!
This idea has actually been done by quite a few crazy American 10 years back with Lead-Acid battery, the result is a plug-in hybrid with 100+ MPG!!! This open-source project is call PriusPlus and it is well document here:

Hi Helmut,
Thank you for verified!
The Delta SOC you see in Dr. Prius is actually reading directly from battery ECU, not calculated. And it appears to be 0% most of the time.
Maybe I should do real-time calculation like Hybrid Assistant? What do you guys think?

I just checked the Ohm and it is off by a factor of 10, means 1.9 milliohm should be 19 milliohm !!
I also checked the source code and the bug was accidently introduced at around Build 93 (currently at Build 135)
I will push out an software update in half hour, also I will look into the Delta SOC problem. Please help me respond to the board as I am having problem register account (need a good translator or learn German fast)
Also please ask everyone don’t hesitate to reach out to me for any feedback or bug report.
Thank you!
Jack
Hello Jack,
I have tested your build 136 and the battery impedances are now output correctly. Thanks for that! (At my P2 from 2008 with 287,000 km it is 22 to 24 mOhm)
The Delta SOC problem will be harder to solve.
The Hybrid Assistant spent 5.71 Ah for my HV battery yesterday.
Test duration 4:27 with 1024 samples
Start SOC 65.1%
Stop SOC 54.1%
Delta SOC 11%
observed current 2A to 12A
HV battery temperature about 25 degrees Celsius

haribo schrieb: Moin Thorsten,

Fine Jack, that is very nice.
CSV-Aufnahme sollte noch da sein.
Bei mir seit build 136 leider nicht mehr

I think it's hard for each HV bloc to form its own SOC in real-time, based on the SOC of the battery ECU.
But it would be very informative for HV batteries coming to the end of life.

As long as the module packs stay close together in voltage range UNDER LOAD a SOC calculation for packs or modules gives no additional value-add.
Btw: The battery ECU does a SOC calculation as SOC can not be measured.
